Would someone besides me please post something!!!! I feel like I am taking over again, but that's me. Anyway, losts to say for those of you who don't know, we are having the first meeting for our spring break trip tomorrow. I am excited about the possible turn out, and all that God is doing in/on this trip before the first meeting. More will come on this later. I would like to ask how many of you are going to the Men's retreat on Feb. 20&21. Don't forget to register online, and if you didn't know the cost is $60.
Funny how things work out to God's plan. I thought he was telling me to facilitate a group this time around, but as time goes on I find that was just my thinking being louder. Probably because that's what I wanted. I had to miss lunch with you guys today, because I went to visit my friend in jail. So, I got up this morning hopped on the bike and had a wonderful brisk ride to Mineral Wells. Spent about 2 1/2 hours with my friend talking and praying about everything we could think of. Then rode back just in time for the 5pm service. One thing I enjoy about my bike is the time I get spend talking with God. However, I still struggle sometimes on filtering what is his voice and what is my desires all wrapped up in my head.
The more I miss you guys, the more I realize how big a part we still play in each others lives. I know we don't always talk, but I get a joy inside to look across the sanctuary and see one of you sitting there. It's ironic to me to think that my wife is beginning to feel disconnected from the people at the Village due to size, but yet I am beginning to feel like it is getting smaller. I will admit, I don't know what any of you did today or even yesterday. However, doesn't it start with small steps and work toward bigger ones? Isn't this how we build life long friendships? I am not perfect by any means, but I have learned that whatever it is it takes effort if it is worth anything.
There's my thoughts....
